DIY Linen Spray
They offer linen spray that you can buy at a grocery store but most of them contain a lot of chemicals and can be harsh on sensative skin. This DIY recipe is easy to make with household products that will keep you clothing and bedding smelling fresh.
Equipment
- Spray Bottle (8 oz, preferrably glass)
Ingredients
- Water (Distilled or Filtered)
- 1 tbsp. Rubbing Alcohol (Vodka can be used as substitute)
- 30 drops Cypress Essential Oil
- 24 drops Lavender Essential Oil
- 30 drops Fir Essential Oil
- 36 drops Lemon Essential Oil
Instructions
- Add the vodka and drops of essential oils into the spray bottle, swirling bottle to combine ingredients.
- Let the mixture sit in the bottle for 15 to allow ingredients to combine.
- Add distilled or filtered water, leaving half of an inch from the top.
- Add the spray cap and shake the mixture to combine ingredients.
- Shake bottle before each use and is safe for most fabric types.
- Store in a cold, dry location such as a pantry or below the sink.
Notes
This spray is safe for most fabrics but if you're concerned with delicate fabrics, it's recommended to do a patch test. The alcohol will preserve the spray so you can use it for months without the need to refrigerate.
