Bath Bombs
A nice, hot bath is already pretty relaxing, but with pleasant scents and fizzy, colorful foam? Now that's a recipe for a perfect evening.
Materials
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1/2 cup Epsom salt
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 3/4 tsp. water
- 2 tsp essential oil ex: lavender, eucalyptus, rose
- 2 tsp oil ex: jojoba, sweet almond, coconut olive or baby oil
- A few drops of food coloring
Instructions
- Mix all of the dry ingredients except for the citric acid in a big bowl.
- Pour the liquid ingredients into a lidded jar. Close it up and give it a good, vigorous shaking.
- Pour the liquid mix into the dry mix in the bowl. With your hands, combine and meld everything together. Add the citric acid now. It should get a bit fizzy.
- Tightly pack the mixture into any round mold. You can overfill them a bit, just use a spoon or something to pack it in nice and tight. Quickly loosen the bombs out of the mold onto some wax paper and leave them overnight. Once they have a consistency like wet sand, they're ready for use or gift wrapping.
