Fashion brands are bringing out the rainbows for pride capsule collection
June marks the beginning of summer and the beginning of LGBTQ+ Pride Month! As the LGBTQ+ community celebrates pride, companies are also celebrating offering donations, discounts, and special collections in celebration of pride.
ASOS
The alternative retailer partnered with the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) for the 2020 Pride collection. ASOS is offering a variety of unisex styles and is donating 100% of net sales to GLAAD to support the mission of accurate LGBTQ+ representation in the media.
Nike
The athletic wear company released a capsule collection featuring rainbows and celebrating pride with a capsule collection featuring the Nike ACG Air Deschutz sandal, Nike Air Force 1, and Nike Air Max 2090. Nike will also feature more rainbow clothing for the 2020 BeTrue capsule collection while supporting 20 LGBTQ+ organizations.
Hollister x GLSEN
Hollister partnered with an educational nonprofit that helps to create affirming and safe schools for all genders. The national student council of GLSEN designed a capsule collection featuring rainbow hoodies, graphic tees, and a limited edition fragrance, Togetherness. Hollister is also committing to matching $5 for every “Proud” t-shirt sale (up to $55,000) for GLSEN.
Puma
The athleticwear company partnered with the gender-fluid model and actress, Cara Delevigne, to create a Pride capsule collection called From Puma With Love. This 13-item Pride capsule collection will feature waist bags, graphic tees, oversized hoodies, and more that is currently available and on June 28 they will be launching the rainbow-colored leadcat slides on June 28. Puma will also be donating 20% of proceeds to the Cara Delevingne foundation that supports LGBTQ+ organizations such as The Trevor Project, GLAAD, and Mind Out.
Levi’s
The traditional denim brand Levi’s is celebrating Pride offering unique options including denim chaps and customized printed shirts. The 2020 Levi’s Pride Collection offers 20 items including baseball caps, t-shirts, crossbody bag, and tie-dye jean jackets. Levi’s will be donating 100% of net profits to an organization dedicated to helping end LGBTQ+ violence worldwide, OutRight Action International.
