2oz.Fresh Blackberry Juice (1 pint blackberries and 1/2 cup water)
Instructions
For blackberry juice, you can buy from the store but it's recommended to make your own. Place water and a pint of blackberries in a blender and blend into a puree. Strain the juice through a cheesecloth or fine mesh sieve and discard pulp.
In a glass add lime juice, mint leaves, a lime rind, and a splash of soda water.
Gently muddle in glass to release the mint flavor.
Fill the glass with ice, then add blackberry juice and 2 oz. rum.
Add a splash of soda water and stir to mix the cocktail.
Garnish with a mint sprig, lime wedge, and blackberries as desired.
Serve and enjoy responsibly!
Notes
This recipe is for a single cocktail but can easily be multiplied for more servings. You can also make a pitcher for a party and use cocktail umbrellas as skewers for the garnishes.
