Homemade Anti-Itch Cream

This DIY anti-itch cream is easy and affordable to make at home with natural ingredients with a fresh fragrant scent of lavender and peppermint. This is a great home remedy for bug bites, rashes, and allergy hives.

Equipment

  • Glass Jar with Airtight Lid

Materials

  • 2-4 tbsp Water
  • 1/4 cup Bentonite Clay
  • 5 drops Colloidal Silver (found in a pharmacy or natural remedy shop)
  • 3 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 3-5 drops Lavender Essential Oils
  • 6-10 drops Peppermint Essential Oils

Instructions

  • In a small mixing bowl, add the apple cider vinegar and clay. The mixture will initially fizz but mix until the ingredients stop fizzing.
  • Add the colloidal silver, lavender essential oil, and peppermint essential oil to the clay while slowly mixing the ingredients until fully combined.
  • The mixture will have a thicker consistency and add the water to the clay mixture for a nice creamy consistency.
  • Store the anti-itch cream in a glass jar with an airtight lid (mason jar).
  • Apply to itchy skin or bug bites and enjoy the itch relief.

Notes

You can add the drops of essential oil as desired, using the most amount of essential oils will work better for a more effective anti-itch cream. This anti-itch cream should last 2-3 weeks if stored properly in the refrigerator and add a little bit of water if the cream starts to get dry or too hard.
