Keto Margarita

With a couple of crafty tricks, this keto diet-friendly cocktail is surprisingly close to the real deal!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups ice
  • 2 fluid ounces tequila 80 proof
  • 1 fluid ounce Lime juice raw
  • 2 ½ teaspoons Sugar substitute erythritol natural sweetener, ex: Swerve
  • 1 tablespoon coarse kosher salt coarse
  • 2 raw lime wedges
  • 2 fluid ounces orange-flavored carbonated water/club soda

Instructions
 

  • Fill a shaker halfway with ice, then add the tequila, lime juice, and sweetener. Seal the shaker and shake it all up for 10 to 15 seconds. When the outside is frosty, you're good to go.
  • Put some salt on a small plate. Moisten the rim of a mason jar with a lime wedge, then press the jar down into the salt to get that nice salted rim. Fill the jar with ice cubes.
  • Strain margarita mix from the shaker into the jar and top it off with sparkling water. Give it one last stir and garnish with the remaining lime wedge.
